First opened in 2002, Casa Taller Grabadown was a small operation run by dedicated parents in Cuba’s Western most province, Pinar Del Rio, in an effort to support children with down syndrome. Today, it has grown in size and scope and they are looking to expand into a bigger residence. The students are taught to express themselves through art and dance, and a thriving community anchored by love and happiness now fills the humble building on the outskirts of town.
